WagPicks helps pet owners find vets, groomers, daycares, trainers, sitters and pet stores. This page explains what information we handle and why, in plain language.
If you're visiting the site
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics (through Google Tag Manager) to understand which pages are useful — for example page views and clicks on “Call” or “Book online”. It uses cookies and receives your IP address. We don't use it to identify you personally.
- “Near me”. If you choose to sort by distance, your device's location is used only in your browser — it is never sent to us. If you type a neighbourhood or ZIP instead, that text is sent to OpenStreetMap's search service to find it on the map. Your chosen spot is remembered in your browser so other pages can use it; you can clear it with “Back to best-rated”.
- Maps. Business pages show an OpenStreetMap map, which loads map images from OpenStreetMap's servers.
- Hosting. Our host (Vercel) keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and reliability.
If you send us a form
When a business owner uses our business form, we store what you enter (business name, your name, email, phone and message) to reply to you and handle your request. We don't sell it.
Business listings
Listings are built from publicly available information: public business listings (such as Google Maps) and each business's own website. We add our own summaries of the services a business says it offers. Rankings are based on public ratings and the number of reviews; no business can pay to change its rank.
If you own a listed business and want something corrected or the listing removed, use the business form and choose “Correct or remove my listing”.
Your choices and rights
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use a browser extension to block analytics.
- You can ask us what form data we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, through the business form.
- We don't sell personal information.

If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and its date.
